The five paintings in the MOMENTS series were created over the course of last year but I've been marinating with them for a few months in an attempt to understand them better.
Some old, some new, some just new to me… here’s a collection of songs that caught my ear this Spring.

“From time to time, we need to leave the present behind and escape from reality. Whether it’s during quarantine or a bad day at the office, we all deserve a trip inside our imagination (when a real trip isn’t available). Now, that’s especially true and especially difficult. Luckily, we have art to transport us to different worlds, magical environments, new cosmic dimensions. This week we embrace Twyla Tharp’s brilliance when she said, “Art is the only way to run away without leaving home.” ”
Are you interested in starting an art collection but aren’t quite ready to make the full investment?

I recently had the opportunity to sit down and discuss my life, creative impulses, and current exhibition 'This Must Be The Place' with local radio extraordinaire Tim Bowring as part of his show ZERO HOUR on Richmond Independent Radio. I'm pleased to announce my first solo exhibition, taking place at Shockoe Artspace in Richmond, Virginia between March 2 - May 26, 2018. The opening reception will be held at the galleries 19th street location on March 2 from 6-9pm, and will be followed by an artist talk on March 3 from 2-3:30pm.
I will have a small selection of photographs and works on paper included in a group exhibition curated by Alyona Coureau for Current Curators, taking place September 22 - October 22, 2017. Titled how to keep the [inner] peace, this exhibition is one portion of OUTSIDE SALON, a three-part group showcase event being put together by Current Curators, a non-profit organization working in support of independent curators. The show will open at the historic studio building at 56 Bogart St. in Brooklyn on Friday, September 22, from 5-9 PM.
